Dog Daze Century

The Brandywine Bicycle Club invites you to come and enjoy the beautiful scenic rolling hills of western Chester County. The 25, 50, 75 and 100 mile rides will take you through quiet shaded country roads where you will pass by horse farms, streams and the historic Brandywine Battlefields.

 

All rides start at the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance, located 6 miles west of West Chester on route 842. Lunch is served after the 25 and 50 mile rides. After lunch, riders can decide to lie in the shade and enjoy the beautiful grounds of the BRCA or ride the second 50 mile loop to complete the full century.

 

Ride Features

 

  • Quiet scenic roads

  • The full morning route is a heavily rolling 56 miles but, with two separate options to shorten the distance to as little as 27 miles

  • The afternoon route has the option of either 25 or 45 miles

  • SAG support on all routes

  • Well stocked rest stops with fresh fruits, snacks and home-baked goods

  • Hearty lunch included! Fresh sandwiches, fresh fruit and home-baked goods

  • Well marked routes

  • Cue sheets and maps provided

Event Information

  • Registration 7:00 to 9:00am

  • Routes open at 8:00 AM; century riders must be on the road by 9:00 AM, all others by 10:00 AM.

  • Afternoon loop riders must depart the lunch stop by 1:00 PM.

  • Morning SAG support ends at 1:30pm; afternoon SAG support ends at 4:30pm

  • Lunch closes at 2:30pm

  • Afternoon rest stops: 1st closes at 2:30 PM, 2nd closes at 4:00 PM

Route Details / Cue Sheets

BBC uses Ride With GPS to store all of our route and cue sheets. The following links will take you to the appropriate Ride With GPS page where you can download the GPX file or cue sheet. 

You may also access these links from our Route Listing page. We have a page for each route that allows you to rate the route and enter comments. This is very helpful to area cyclists who may ride the route after the event. This is also helpful to our event planners for future events.

The Brandywine Bicycle Club is proud to support the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance. A portion of the proceeds from the 2015 Dog Daze Century will be donated to this worthy organization
